WeGlow Mail vs Flexmail for non-profits: price and GDPR
Flexmail is Belgian with a vzw discount; WeGlow Mail is tied to your donors. Prices, GDPR and features compared, checked on 2 Oct 2026.
Flexmail is a Belgian email marketing tool with unlimited sending and a discount for Belgian non-profits (vzw). WeGlow Mail is the better fit if your donors and donations already live in WeGlow. Flexmail is the more mature choice if mailing is the main job and you need things like A/B testing or a phone line. Everything here comes from the vendors' own pages, checked on 2 October 2026.

Price at 1,000, 5,000 and 10,000 contacts
At 1,000 contacts the comparison is clean. Flexmail charges €17 per month on Start (€15 per month, or €184 per year, when billed annually), €34 on Essential (€31, or €367 per year) and €78 on Pro (€70, or €842 per year).
WeGlow Mail costs from €19 per month (excl. VAT) at that size, with 12,000 emails a month included. Flexmail's Start plan is therefore slightly cheaper per month, and it allows unlimited mailing; it has one user and a more limited feature set.
For 5,000 and 10,000 contacts, Flexmail's price comes from a slider that we could not read as plain text, so we do not quote it. Ask Flexmail's slider yourself. WeGlow Mail's published tiers are from €49 per month for up to 5,000 contacts (60,000 emails) and from €79 for up to 10,000 contacts (120,000 emails). With the WeGlow Pro platform plan (€40 per month or €400 per year) mailing is included up to 2,500 contacts, and the larger tiers cost €42 and €67 per month on top of Pro. Check the current prices in your dashboard.
One definition matters: Flexmail counts active email addresses in your account, and unsubscribed or deleted contacts do not count.
Non-profit discount
If you are a vzw, create a free trial account first, then email Flexmail's sales team with your username, account ID and a document proving your vzw status. The page does not say how large the discount is. WeGlow does not advertise a separate non-profit discount, but it does include mailing in the Pro plan up to 2,500 contacts.
GDPR and hosting
Flexmail describes itself as GDPR-compliant mailing with the necessary guarantees for information and data security, and as a European tool with quality labels. It does not name a hosting country on the pages we read.
For WeGlow Mail we describe what the product does: a compliance footer with your identity, address and unsubscribe link on every mail, a check step that excludes bounced and unsubscribed people, and consent recorded at import. We do not state a hosting country for WeGlow Mail here; ask us for the current statement before you quote it.
Donor data, editor and writing help
Flexmail has a drag-and-drop email builder, multilingual mailing, opt-in forms and a marketing CRM from its Start plan, automation scenarios from Essential, and A/B testing, dynamic content and phone support on Pro. It also has AI features (subject line generator, translator, copywriter), with a limited number of AI actions on the lower plans and 300 a month on Pro.
WeGlow Mail's strength is the donor side. It opens from your WeGlow dashboard, WeGlow donors can be synced in as contacts, and smart groups fill from donations (active, frequent, monthly, lapsed and lost donors). An automation can start on a new donation or a lapsed contact, and you personalise with {{first_name}} and donation tags. The block editor offers live desktop and mobile preview, test sends and your branding on every mail, multi-language versions with automatic translation, and Glowie drafts a whole mail from an idea in about 30 seconds.
When does Flexmail fit?
Flexmail fits if you want a Belgian supplier with Dutch-language support, if you mail a lot and want unlimited sends at a flat price per contact band, if you need A/B testing or phone support, or if your donations run through another system and you only need a strong mailing tool. The vzw discount is a real plus.
Our recommendation
For a Belgian or Dutch non-profit that takes donations on WeGlow, we would start with WeGlow Mail: your supporters are already there, and the Pro plan covers mailing up to 2,500 contacts. Try it in your WeGlow dashboard. If you outgrow it or need Flexmail's extras, nothing stops you from comparing again.
Is Flexmail free?
No. Flexmail offers a free trial account, not a free plan.
Does Flexmail give a discount to vzw's?
Yes, on Essential, Pro and Premium, after you send proof of your status. The size of the discount is not published.
Is WeGlow Mail cheaper than Flexmail?
At 1,000 contacts, Flexmail Start (€17) is slightly cheaper than WeGlow Mail (from €19), but WeGlow Mail is free up to 250 contacts and adds donor integration.
