Amantani UK
At Amantani UK, our mission is rooted in the belief that every young person, regardless of their background, deserves equal access to tertiary education and fair employment opportunities. Our flagship Transitions Project was developed to address the need for transitional support for school leavers in rural indigenous communities in the Andes and the Amazon of Peru. The project supports young people (aged 16 to 25) from situations of disadvantage to access and complete further or higher education. It has three phases that help prepare young people for tertiary education, support them throughout their studies, and facilitate access to fair and formal employment. We also run an Ethical Trade Project that helps women from these Andean communities to build financial independence through the production and sale of hand-woven products in the UK and Peru.
