What do they cost side by side?

Koalect deserves credit for publishing entry prices. Its pricing page lists licences from €600 a year for SCAN, from €720 for GIVE and from €3,330 for DO.

On top comes a service fee per transaction: 0.5% to 3% for GIVE and SCAN, 0.5% to 8% for DO. Which plan (Basic, Pro or Master) gets which percentage is not published. Payment provider costs are added separately.

If you want donation forms and peer-to-peer, that pricing page treats them as separate products, so two licences.

At WeGlow everything sits in one system. The free plan costs €0 a month. The platform fee is 5% per donation; your donor is asked whether they want to cover it, and what they cover you do not pay. Pro costs €40 a month or €400 a year. Your payment provider (Mollie or Stripe) works on your own account and charges its fees separately.

At WeGlow you create an account, pick your colours and logo and build it yourself, no developer needed.

When does Koalect fit?

Koalect has a public API and can run campaigns on your own domain. If you need Strava connections, crowd voting or your own domain, Koalect offers, according to our earlier check, something WeGlow does not have today. With a larger budget and a wish for hands-on implementation help, it may also be the better pick.

Our recommendation

For the average association that wants to start quickly and put its budget into its mission, WeGlow is the logical choice: start free, everything in one system, no annual licence, cancel monthly.
