How to keep your fundraiser alive.
Share your link and let it travel.
Your page has its own link. Send it on WhatsApp, share it on social media or copy it into an email. Every donation appears on your page straight away, with the message from your donor.
- Share buttons for WhatsApp, Facebook, X, LinkedIn and Instagram
- Or simply copy your link
- You see every donation and message straight away
An update is your best reason to share again.
Write a few sentences and add a photo. Your donors read your update on your page and also receive it in their mailbox. Then you share it straight away on social media.
- Text and photos, even from your phone
- Your donors also receive your update by email
- A share image ready to post
- Donors can like or react
Follow your goal and your donors.
Your page shows how much you have raised, how much is still needed and who gave. In your account you find all your fundraisers again. You can edit, close or reopen them.
- A target amount with a progress bar
- Your fundraisers in one place in your account
- Edit, close or reopen whenever you want
Five tips from fundraisers who do it well.
You do not have to be like everyone else. This almost always works.
Tell them why
A personal story says more than an amount. Say why this charity matters to you.
Give first yourself
People who already see a donation give sooner. So start with your own.
Set a goal and a date
A concrete amount and an end date give your donors a reason to give now.
Share updates
Every update is a reason to send your link again, and keeps your donors involved.
Ask personally
A message to one person works better than a message to everyone.
What fundraisers often ask us.
Is starting a fundraiser free?
Yes. Starting a fundraiser costs nothing.
Do I need an account?
To start a fundraiser you create a free account. Your donors do not need an account: their name and email address are enough.
Which charity can I raise money for?
Any of the more than 150 charities on WeGlow. Find your charity under Organisations and choose it in the first step of your fundraiser.
Where does the money go?
Every donation goes straight to the charity you chose. You do not receive or pay anything yourself, so there is no money to transfer.
Can I raise money together with others?
Yes. You can create a team or join a team or an event. Your donations then add up and you follow the total together.
Can I change or close my fundraiser?
Yes. In your account, under Fundraisers, you can edit your fundraiser, share an update, close it or reopen it.
Do my donors get a tax receipt?
If the charity is approved for tax receipts, donors who give at least €40 a year to the same charity receive a tax receipt and get 30% of their donation back through their taxes.
