WeGlow Donate: from one-off to monthly giving
After a one-off gift, WeGlow Donate suggests a monthly amount, for example €5 on €50. How the suggestion works, what it yields and how to start.
WeGlow Donate is the donation form you paste into your own website. When a visitor picks a one-off gift, the form suggests a monthly amount before payment, for example €5 on a €50 gift. The donor chooses freely: monthly or one-off after all. That is how you build recurring income without an extra campaign.
What does WeGlow Donate do on a one-off gift?
It shows a "Monthly gift" screen with two suggested amounts and a "No, one-off" button. On €50 those are €5 and €10 per month. Below, it says the donor can stop at any time with one email. Anyone who wants to keep the one-off gift simply continues.
The suggestion appears when your organisation allows monthly gifts. The donor gives a mandate once; after that the monthly payments are collected automatically.
Which monthly amount does it suggest?
The suggestion is deliberately low, so that a "yes" comes easily. Up to €60 it is €5 per month, up to €100 it is €10, and above that about a tenth of the gift, rounded to €5 and capped at €50. The second tile is always €5 higher.

Your organisation can change this in the builder: the same amount as the one-off gift, or fixed amounts you choose yourself.
What does a monthly gift yield?
A monthly gift of €5 is €60 after twelve months, more than a one-off €50. Do allow for drop-out: according to the M+R Benchmarks 2026, 71% of monthly donors are still active after 12 months, and monthly giving made up 27% of all online revenue in 2025 (US).

This is our own arithmetic, not a forecast: every donor who stops lowers the total. For your planning, a steady monthly income is still more predictable than a spike after each campaign.
Does a monthly gift count towards the tax certificate?
In Belgium a gift to a recognised institution earns a 30% tax reduction, from €40 per year per organisation (FPS Finance). A monthly gift of €5 is €60 a year and so reaches that threshold. A gift of €100 gives a €30 reduction.

Frequently asked questions
What if the donor still wants to give once?
That is always possible. At the monthly suggestion WeGlow Donate shows a "No, one-off" button. The donor then pays exactly the amount they had chosen. WeGlow.world only suggests a monthly gift and never forces one.
How does WeGlow.world decide the suggested amount?
The amount follows from the one-off gift: €5 up to €60, €10 up to €100 and above that about a tenth, rounded to €5 and capped at €50. Your organisation can also choose the same amount or fixed amounts in the builder. WeGlow.world then follows your choice.
How does the monthly payment work?
On WeGlow.world the donor gives a mandate once for the monthly payment through the payment account your organisation links. After that the payment runs automatically. Stopping is always possible: one email to the organisation is enough, as the form itself says.
What does WeGlow Donate cost?
There is no separate rate for the form. On WeGlow.world you pay a 5% platform fee per donation; the free plan costs €0 per month. Donors can cover that 5% themselves, read more in the article on the platform fee.
