WeGlow CRM vs Bloomerang for Belgian non-profits

WeGlow CRM starts at €29/month for 1,000 contacts, in euros; Bloomerang from $125/month. Price, setup and Belgian certificates compared.

Bloomerang is a well-regarded donor CRM from the United States, with prices that start at $125 a month for the CRM alone. WeGlow CRM starts at €29 a month for up to 1,000 contacts, in euros, with Belgian fiscal certificates built in. For a Belgian or Dutch non-profit that takes donations through WeGlow, we recommend WeGlow CRM. Bloomerang fits when you are US-based or want its specific fundraising toolset.

At a glance

Prices and key points side by side, as the pages show them.

  • WeGlow CRM: €29 a month for up to 1,000 contacts, €59 for 5,000, €89 for 10,000 (excl. VAT), unlimited team members.
  • Bloomerang: unlimited users, priced on the number of records you track. The page we checked lists the CRM from $125 a month (billed annually), Volunteer from $119, and an all-in-one Giving Platform from $242.
  • Currency: Bloomerang's page does not specify a currency and shows no non-US pricing. The amounts appear to be dollars.
  • Record tiers: not published on the page we checked, so we cannot compare 1,000, 5,000 or 10,000 contacts one to one.

What does each cost at 1,000, 5,000 and 10,000 contacts?

For WeGlow CRM the answer is simple. Up to 1,000 contacts is €29 a month (or €300 a year), up to 5,000 is €59 (€600 a year) and up to 10,000 is €89 (€900 a year), all excluding VAT. Check the current prices in your dashboard.

Bloomerang says its pricing depends on the number of records or contacts you track, but it does not publish the tiers. All we can honestly say is that the CRM starts at $125 a month on an annual plan, which is the entry level, and that the price at 5,000 or 10,000 contacts is something you get from their sales team. If you want to compare, ask for a quote in your own currency and check whether VAT is added.

Bloomerang also notes that fundraising tools starting at $40 a month must be bundled with the CRM, and volunteer management is a separate product. In WeGlow CRM, volunteers are a module in the same system.

How much setup is there?

Bloomerang mentions that setup and implementation are included in its proposals, and it says you own your data and can export it at any time. That is reassuring. It does not describe the steps on the pricing page.

WeGlow CRM lets you do the first import yourself: drop a CSV or Excel file (a Mailchimp export also works), read in plain language what will happen, import, and undo the whole batch if needed. People are matched on more than e-mail address, and contacts without e-mail are allowed. That is useful for a vzw with an old membership spreadsheet.

What about Belgian specifics?

Here WeGlow is built for you. In Belgium a donor can receive a fiscal certificate from €40 given in a calendar year to the same organisation. WeGlow's certificates feature creates the yearly attestations, e-mails them, tracks what was sent or failed and shows whether donor data is complete. The interface is available in Dutch, French and English, plus German and Spanish.

The Bloomerang pages we read mention neither Belgian certificates nor interface languages, so we cannot say. If you are Belgian, ask them directly before you commit.

Donations, volunteers, members and major gifts

If you collect donations through WeGlow campaigns, each contact in the CRM has a dossier with timeline, notes, documents and gifts. Members (with dues and a sign-up form), volunteers (shifts, availability, reminders) and a major gifts pipeline with sponsorships sit in the same system and the same contact list. These modules are switches you can turn on or off in the CRM settings.

Bloomerang covers fundraising, CRM, volunteers and AI-assisted prospecting in its Giving Platform, as its page says. It is a coherent product, but it is not connected to your WeGlow donations unless you set that up yourself.

When does Bloomerang fit?

  • Your organisation is based in the United States and pays in dollars.
  • You want its donor-retention focus and all-in-one Giving Platform and are happy with annual billing.
  • You do not collect donations through WeGlow and need a standalone CRM.

Conclusion

For a typical Belgian or Dutch non-profit, WeGlow CRM is the easier fit: euro prices by contact band that you can read today, Belgian fiscal certificates built in, and donations from your WeGlow campaigns in the same place as volunteers and members.

Try it in your WeGlow dashboard. Choose Bloomerang if its feature set matches your needs and you have confirmed price, currency and local support with them.

Does Bloomerang charge per user?

No. It states that every plan comes with unlimited users and prices on the number of records you track.

Does WeGlow CRM charge per user?

No. The price follows the number of contacts, not the team size.

Can I switch from Bloomerang to WeGlow CRM?

Bloomerang says you can export your data at any time. Import that file in WeGlow CRM, review what will happen, and undo the batch if something is off.

Do I need the Pro plan for WeGlow CRM?

The CRM is an add-on priced by contacts. Check the Subscription tab in your dashboard for what applies to your organisation.
