Tax certificates for gifts: Belgium, France, Switzerland

WeGlow asks for the fiscal details at the gift and prepares the certificates for you.

WeGlow dashboard with donation data on a laptop

For many donors the tax benefit is a reason to give. That is why WeGlow asks, during the gift, for the details your country requires and prepares the tax certificate for you. Today that works for organisations in Belgium, France and Switzerland.

In Belgium a certificate is needed for gifts from €40 per year to the same organisation, and the tax reduction has been 30% since 1 January 2025. In France it is 66%, or 75% up to €2,000 for help to people in need. Collecting these details is included in the free plan.

Missing data

The right details at the right moment

The donation page only shows the fiscal block when your organisation has enabled certificates and the amount reaches the threshold. The details are validated as they are filled in: the national registry number and the company number must be valid. That means fewer follow-ups afterwards.

From gift to certificate

In the CRM you see per donor which details are missing, such as national registry number or address, and you can request them by email. After that you send the Belgian certificates with one click, in batches of 20. The system is idempotent: a certificate is not sent twice.

Also for manual gifts

Gifts you register yourself, such as cash or bank transfer, count towards the certificate. The national registry number only appears in a CRM contact export when a manager deliberately ticks that option, and every such export is logged.

Frequently asked questions

Does this work for all countries?

No. Today there are certificate profiles for Belgium, France and Switzerland. For an organisation in another country, WeGlow does not collect fiscal details according to a local certificate model.

From which amount is a Belgian certificate needed?

From €40 per year to the same organisation. That threshold comes from the tax rules of FPS Finance. The tax reduction has been 30% of the donated amount since 1 January 2025.

Do donors need to fill in their details themselves?

Yes. The donation page asks for the necessary details during the gift, so the donor fills them in at the right moment. If details are still missing, you can request them by email afterwards.

Where can I find the collected data?

In your dashboard, per donor and per gift. In the Tax certificates tab you see which details are missing and you can export lists as CSV or XLSX.

What about France and Switzerland?

France gets a numbered reçu fiscal per one-off gift and one yearly overview for recurring donors. Switzerland gets a Spendenbescheinigung as a PDF, per gift or yearly for recurring gifts.
